Defining the Award: The award is given for the best law firm advertisement which appeared in a publication in 2009. The advertisement may be devoted to publicizing the firm, a cause supported by the firm, or an effort worked on by the firm or its member.
- 2010 Best Law Firm Compendium - Due March 26, 2010
Defining the Award: The award is given for the best book or compilation published by or on behalf of a law firm devoted to analyzing either a single areas or multiple subject areas in law.
- 2010 Best Law Firm Newsletter - Due March 26, 2010
Defining the Award: The award is given for the best newsletter which presents either the ongoing work and efforts of the firm, or analysis of current issues in the law, or both.
- 2010 Best Law Firm Profile - Due March 26, 2010
Defining the Award: The award is given for the best presentation of a law firm. These materials or single publication must be prepared to showcase the firm and its benefits and capabilities.

Defining the Award: The award is given to publications which are not newsletters, not compendiums on law, and not books. It is a catch-all category. See for example, "Trends" by Faegre Benson
