Legends in the Law - Nomination Form

The "Legends in the Law Award" goes to an outstanding corporate general counsel whose corporation or business had gross revenues which exceeded $1 Billion in 2012. In addition to the award ceremony and gala, this year we will hold a special luncheon honoring the "Legends in Law" winners. The function will be held in the Members Room at the Library of Congress at 12pm on June 3, 2013.

Morrison & Foerster Regulatory Innovation Award - Nomination Form

Through the Burton Foundation, Morrison & Foerster has established the Regulatory Innovation Award to honor an academic or non-elected public official whose innovative ideas have made a significant contribution to the discourse on regulatory reform in the arena of corporate governance, securities, capital markets or financial institutions.

Distinguished Legal Writing Awards - Nomination Forms

The 1000 largest law firms in America are invited to participate in the "Law Firm" writing awards. In addition, all law schools are also permitted to enter an article written by a law school student. To find out more about the National Awards, click here

  • 2013 Best Law Firm Advertisement - Due March 18, 2013

    Defining the Award: The award is given for the best law firm advertisement which appeared in a publication in 2012. The advertisement may be devoted to publicizing the firm, a cause supported by the firm, or an effort worked on by the firm or its member.

  • 2013 Best Law Firm Compendium - Due March 18, 2013

    Defining the Award: The award is given for the best book or compilation published by or on behalf of a law firm devoted to analyzing either a single areas or multiple subject areas in law.

  • 2013 Best Law Firm Newsletter - Due March 18, 2013

    Defining the Award: The award is given for the best newsletter which presents either the ongoing work and efforts of the firm, or analysis of current issues in the law, or both.

  • 2013 Best Law Firm Website - Due March 18, 2013

    Defining the Award: The award is presented based on the following criteria: (1) professional image conveyed, (2) plain, clear and concise writing, and (3) comprehensive variety and newsworthiness of the articles posted.

  • 2013 Best Law Firm Publication - Due March 18, 2013

    Defining the Award: The award is given to publications that are not newsletters, not compendiums on law, and not books. It is a catch-all category.

  • 2013 Outstanding Authoritative Book by a Law Firm Member - Due March 18, 2013

    Defining the Award: The award is given to a member of a law firm whose book is an important contribution to the legal profession. The book must be comprehensive in scope, informative, incisive, and an important reference and information tool.

Public Service Awards

The Public Service Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and integrity and has been employed in the executive branch of government at any time over the last ten years.

 

Public Interest Awards

The Public Interest Award is presented to an individual who serves as general counsel in one of America's corporations and, on a pro bono basis, has made a significant contribution or has had a significant impact on the public interest.
