Che Chang is the General Counsel of OpenAI. His team helps oversee legal, regulatory, and policy issues that arise from building and offering large AI models, including GPT, Dall-E, and ChatGPT. Previously, Che led the legal teams for Amazon Web Services’ Artificial Intelligence, Marketplace, and Storage businesses, and before that he worked at Silicon Valley technology startups and law firms. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
